Noel Santiago, Jr. Obituary - 2023 (2024)

Noel Santiago, Jr. passed away on March 24, 2023 with his family at his side. He was 43.

Born in Jersey City and raised there as well as Bayonne, Noel was a graduate of Hudson County Vocational Technical School. He worked for many years in IT for Pershing Company but eventually chose to enter law enforcement. He began his career in law enforcement with the Hudson County Corrections department before moving to the Hudson County Sherriff’s Department. In 2014, he joined the Jersey City Police Department where he has served with much honor and recognition.

In 2010, he met his now wife Stephanie while attending a work conference for Death Investigation. Life brought them back together in 2017 and the two started their family. They have three beautiful boys that lit up his life. Being a devoted husband and father gave him the most joy.

Though his time on earth was greatly shortened, Noel lived his life to the fullest. He filled his life with the things he loved: family, friends, public service, cars, food and travel. He experienced the world with friends and family traveling to places like Greece, Mexico, Dominican Republic, Aruba and Puerto Rico to name a few. He was passionate about food. He loved exploring new restaurants and cuisines, sharing meals with friends, and sending pictures and recommendations to anyone who would listen. Noel was a proud Giants and die-hard Yankees Fan, much to the annoyance of his wife, a loyal Boston fan. Football season in their household was fun. Noel loved people and people loved Noel. He became fast friends with almost everyone he met. He always made himself available to anyone who needed help or a listening ear; he was a protector to all. He was the life of every party, a renowned prankster, a loyal friend, doting son and brother, an adoring father and tender husband. He was one of a kind and found joy in every moment he was able to spend with the people he loved.

Noel is survived by his wife and best friend Stephanie ( nèe White); his children Tomas, Adrian and Jacob; parents Noel Santiago and Blanca (nèe Rivera); brothers Elias and David (DJ); sisters Stacy, Naomi and Erica, mother-in-law Andrea and her husband Guy; sister-in-law Melissa and her partner Chris and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends whom he loved and adored.
